It is very important for every person of voting age to vote. The political
arena and its climate is discouraging especially the immature conduct as of these
later years. The disrespect, name calling, even the statements that produce fear in
the citizens are all reasons why we should feel a greater responsibility to exercise
our voting right. It should be the responsibility of all voters to remove or to prevent
leaders that use their influence and representation to improperly influence the
worst in citizens instead of the best.
The freedom and the privilege of voting was a dream of democratic
government fought for by the peoples that came before us. And bequeathed to us
by those that paid such a great price the honor of casting a ballot. They gave the
best of themselves for the better opportunities for social and economic reform and
governance for us.
More than the candidate you want to win the election is the exercise of your
right and responsibility even obligation to participate in every election. When you
fail to participate in elections you have no right to complain when the current
administration fails in service. Because when you had the opportunity to make
your voice heard by voting you chose to remain silent!
