Even in these times of uncertainty, never lose sight of who you really are. If I asked you the question, “Who are you?” What would your response be? If you’re having a difficult time answering the question, this blog post was created just for you. This Faith Message is a reminder to all women of God out there that may have forgotten or have yet to realize who God called you to be.
Let’s be clear! You are a Woman of Faith! God has given you a unique gift that you should be using to build up the kingdom of God. Your gift may be teaching, singing, being a musician, empowering, encouraging, being an intercessor, etc. Whatever God has given / gifted you to do is NECESSARY, especially during a challenging time such as this. I know the devil has thrown you some curve balls and what might seem like insurmountable obstacles, but remember 1 John 4:4, “…you are from God and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.” Now is not the time to walk in fear nor doubt. The God we serve never fails! He’s got you Sis! Let me remind you. You are a woman of Faith!
My good friend, Pastor James Johnson of Redeeming Love Church in Detroit, recently preached at my church, The Open Door COGIC – Detroit. His topic was “Do It Scared!” Every time I think on Pastor Johnson’s sermon, I am immediately reminded of the Power of Faith. Whatever God has called or commissioned you to do, he has equipped you to handle the task(s). The devil is not just going to let you move forward without a fight because you are a serious threat to him, so be ready for a fight! You may feel that you are not ready or ask why me????? Why not you? Do it scared!
I love to see people in the kingdom of God serve and operate with humility. It’s the individuals who may seem meek or timid that can be used mightily by God because their total trust is in God and not their own abilities. What I’m trying to say is… Stop questioning your gift / calling! It’s time to move forward and get to work! Psalm 46:5 says, “God is within her; she will not fail.” Sis, you won’t fail! Even when you think you’ve failed in man’s eye, you have not failed God. “Stumbling blocks are nothing but stepping stones to your next victory!” Woman of Faith, take that first step. Take that Leap of Faith and watch God move!
Be blessed,
Sis. Tasha Evans
